INFRA starts SMR fabrication

INFRA has developed a proprietary design of a compact and intensified steam-methane reformer (SMR). Based on this design INFRA has completed the engineering and started the fabrication of SMR for producing synthesis gas. The SMR forms the front-end of INFRA’s GTL plant which produces 100 barrels of synthetic crude from 1 million cubic feet natural gas.

Original INFRA’s design is compact (foot print less than 300 square feet) and modular, fits 4 standard shipping containers and is capable of producing 2.5 tons of synthesis gas per hour.  It has a box-type furnace, robust interlock system and smart burner management system to ensure safe operations. The ready SMR module will be shipped to the production site in Q1 2016.
