Energy sources and sustainability

Continued and bold emphasis of environmentalists regarding the reduction of energy production has been the main topic for quite some time. The missing link, however, is how to tackle this problem without great impact on everyone’s everyday life. “Environmentalists seem to be obsessed with stopping the construction of domestic pipelines in this country, regardless of what they carry, what fuels they displace, and how global greenhouse gas emissions may be affected. Liquefied natural gas results in greater emissions than pipeline gas because cooling the gas to minus 260 degrees Fahrenheit and then shipping and regasifying it requires more energy than pumping natural gas through domestic pipelines”. One of the ways to minimize emissions is to implement GTL technology. Modular, scalable and easily transportable units which can assist oil and gas producers to sustain their production rate and meet market demands by converting natural or associated gas into premium, environmentally friendly product – synthetic crude oil, which can be easily transported by railroads or trucks.
